WOAI replaced Dennis Miller with Michael Berry, who's out of Houston. It's a tape delay of his show. He filled in for Joe Pags whilst Pags was off in China buying a small child, and at the time I liked him more than Pags. Now, I'm not so sure.
I'm lying here in bed listening to his show while I feed the baby and surf the 'Net. He just played a clip from Conan O'Brien's show where O'Brien makes a joke about Barack Obama and someone in the audience whoops. So Berry goes off on this. Was it the mention of Obama who set this audience member off, he asks, or the mention of Facebook? Or perhaps the two in concert.
Then, the coup de grace: "Have you ever been to a Republican gathering and heard someone make a noise like that?"
Apparently, Michael Berry is ignorant of a few things. The concept of reacting to a joke? Totally over his head. The difference between a comedy show and a political gathering? Too thin for him to tell 'em apart, apparently.
Shit like this is why Leftists get away with portraying the Right as dumb.
(Berry is from Orange. I've been to Orange. Quite a few times. I remain unimpressed. Going to Orange explains a lot about Berry in the same fashion that going to Hope, Arkansas explains a lot about Clinton.)

He was on the Houston City Council for one term I think. If memory serves he took a run at the Mayor's office and got hammered. He goes over the top to try to keep his ratings up on his radio show. He does some stuff that makes me go phbbtt, really? But not all of his commentary is bad. Particularly when he gets on the CONGRESSWOMAN! Queen Sheila.
Yeah, he definitely plays to the ignoramuses in his audience. He's a pretty intelligent guy but he's a whore for ratings.
I like the fact that he calls Sheila Jackson Lee out for all her craziness, but what is he going to when she's out of office?? He really doesn't have much material outside of that.
