Utah's ahead of us again! This is shameful! How is it that Texas has a state amphibian (the horny toad), a state flying mammal (Mexian free-tailed bat, of course), and a freaking state snack (chips & salsa) but not a state GUN?
I demand that the Leg address this issue immediately. Fast-track it. Surely it's at least as important as declaring sanctuary cities illegal.

The Walker Colt is a good choice for Texas, inasmuch as Walker was a Texas Ranger at one time.
Yes, sir, he was, and just as soon as the baby is done with her nap, we're going to make a trip over to the Odd Fellows Cemetery and see about getting a good pic of his headstone. I didn't know until I was trying to find my great-grandfather's grave that Mr. Walker is also buried here in SA & that I already have a picture (albeit not a good one, thus the trip for another).
Arizona is picking the Colt SAA. I second (third? fourth?) your choice of the Walker Colt.
Ditto on the Colt Walker as Texas' official firearm. I've been pondering this one myself since hearing Utah finally made it official, not just proposed.
