QOTD, Barking Moonbat Edition

From comments to this story:

omelettes

Brian - Considering the US was able to divert an economic crisis that would have led us to a Great Depression I feel somewhat fortunate that Obama was at the helm as opposed to other options. Our wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are now winding down thus our troops can finally come home. Arab spring has led to change in the Middle East and hopefully some stability. We finally got Bin Laden (I guess Obama did deserve that Nobel Peace Prize). The United States has finally universal health insurance so all citizens can have some access to basic health care. So far so good. Now only if the Republicans could just get out of the way this nation would be back to position of world leader.

Sigh.

Y'know, I tried to stay neutral on the whole Occupy Whateverthefuck, 'cause I thought maybe they were idealists, sure, but my friend Mary is supporting them and she's pretty smart, so maybe they really are working for the little people.  I mean, they might not have known what they wanted, but the Tea Party was a bit rudderless there for a while so maybe it'd all work out in the end.

Of course, that was before they proved themselves to be total fucking idiots advocating a $20 minimum wage and global debt forgiveness.

Now I'm wishing my camera was working 'cause I'd love to go downtown and cover this and poke around and see if anyone's got a brain, or if they're communists in that regard too.  I'd like to think, like one of the other commenters said, that 99% of Americans just aren't that dumb. Maybe I could find someone who can articulate an ideology not buried completely in wishful thinking and naivete, but if they could, they'd probably be at a Tea Party rally instead.

What reality does "omelettes" occupy? That paragraph by him/her was one of the most idiotic things I've ever read.
