What's not to love?

I'm participating in NaNoWriMo, that zany 30 days wherein a bunch of people try to write a 50,000 word novel.  I'm actually trying to use it as a jumping-off point.  Unbelievably to me, I am actually on course; granted, it is only day 8, but the last time I tried this (2006) I had already fallen well behind.
